Sunday 9/16/18

A Facebook friend from Texas posted this Friday:

We have a new priest coming our way. In this time of transition for actually 3 parishes, I thought the words of Flannery O’Connor appropriate:

It is easy for any child to find out the faults in a sermon on his way home from church each Sunday. It is impossible to find out the hidden love that makes a man, in spite of his intellectual limitations, his neuroticism, his lack of strength, give up his life to the service of God’s people, however bumblingly he may go about it.

Thanks, TJ.

Everything else I wrote was gossipy, uncharitable, or focused on the current vexations of Roman Catholicism. So I unwrote it.

Have a good Sunday.
