Dormition

Today is the Feast of the Dormition of the Theotokos. In Roman Catholicism, it’s her Assumption. I’ll spare you the intramural niceties.

For now, it’s enough to say that this Feast will make no sense, or will seem like “Mariolatry,” to anyone who thinks that God came to earth through Mary as water comes to our homes through pipes.
