A personal note: today is my father’s 92nd Birthday. I wish he was with us still, but he left this life 13 years ago. If you listen to WBAA all day, you’ll hear his memory honored several times.

Turns out that Bono of U2 likes a Presbyterian minister, Euguene Peterson, whose meditations on the Psalms of Ascent I greatly relished. Bono liked Peterson so much, and so frequently quoted his paraphrased Bible, that Peterson ended up touring with U2 for a while.
If I write any more, I’ll betray that I don’t know all that much about U2 and Bono. I hear he’s a philanthropist of the “teach a man to fish” variety. But I’m a bit too old to have ever really gotten into him.
